Sameera Awawda holds a PhD in Economics from Aix-Marseille School of Economics, Aix Marseille University. She is also a research assistant at the Institute for Research and Development (IRD), Marseille, France and the Institute of Community and Public Health (ICPH), Birzeit University, Palestine. She acts as the assistant coordinator for the AHEAD Research Network. She obtained her master in Mathematical Economics from Birzeit University. Her research interests include the evaluation of public policies and health inequalities, economic modeling and microsimulation techniques with a particular focus on health and social welfare.
