HERU Summer Internships 2017 (Aberdeen, Scotland)

HERU (Health Economics Research Unit, The University of Aberdeen) Summer Internships 2017
Applications are open for the 2017 HERU Summer Internships.

HERU intends to offer three summer internships in 2017 to economics students who are interested in learning how health economics research is done and how it can be applied to health policy. We intend to offer these placements to students who are considering a career in health economic research.

Internships are intended to give a taste of research work in HERU. Interns will work alongside staff in HERU to learn about the sort of work undertaken by these staff. Each internship will last for up to six weeks. Interns will undertake tasks such as assisting in the preparation and analysis of data, searching for and writing up the results of previous research on a topic and assisting in writing up the results of research conducted in HERU.

We welcome applications from students in their penultimate or last year of study for an undergraduate economics degree or a degree in a closely related subject. Suitable candidates will be selected on the basis of a short interview (UK travel expenses only will be refunded). Those applying should have a strong grasp of basic economic concepts. Overseas students may be appointed subject to being eligible to work in the UK. However no additional funds are provided to help with travel to the UK or subsistence.

Stipend @ £300 per week.

Closing date for applications: 24th March 2017

Interviews will be held on: 4th May 2017

More details and how to apply are available via the Internships page on the HERU website.
